Open Doors

The door is open.

What are you waiting for?

What are you afraid of?

Take a chance, step inside.

You can’t spend your entire life on the outside looking in.

Besides it looks a lot different from the inside looking out.

You’ll never know if you don’t step over the threshold.

Opportunity waits on the other side.

This the time of your life.

Itย is waiting for you to step in and claim it.

    • This is the “workshop” on the property I grew up on. It was an old estate and the building (long before our occupations) was servants quarters. That entry went directly upstairs. There was a center entry and a back entry as well.

  1. AWESOME photo, Suzi!

As well as your words. You always get to the heart truth….

“You canโ€™t spend your entire life on the outside looking in.

Besides it looks a lot different from the inside looking out.”

    You said it!

Have a great Wednesday, my friend…..X

  2. It would take an act of faith for me to see opportunity in that ramshackle building. I might go in just to see what was there, but with a sense of adventure and curiosity than opportunity. Thus I appreciate the reminder that appearances can be deceiving and I never know where I’ll find a pot of gold.

    • That building was a kids treasure trove…in fact, an adults as well. I remember my mother stuck this silver tea set an elderly lady (grandmother of my BIL gave her) in that out building and it was stolen! Never know what one will find when they step through a door!

  3. Those open doors can be such a mixed bag sometimes … especially if they initiate great life changes. Loss, newness, sadness, excitement, death, growth …. however, what open doors lead you to is usually very worth it.
It is the ability to see the door is open, the invitation, that makes it easier.

You are so good at summing up a difficult thing with a warm simplicity. I have a friend I need to send your words and picture to .. maybe it will allow them to see the open doors in their life.
