Those photos are marvelous! Seriously gorgeous. I have no idea how you can capture such beauty and show it so flawlessly. My ‘snapshots’ are so blah next to your genius. I’m not jealous. I’m just in awe of your talents.
We’ve had a lovely summer, but now I’m ready for Autumn, my favorite season. I like the cooler (not cold) weather. It seems we’ve had more rain the last two weeks than we’ve had all summer.
There’s nothin’ like a good, hard rain (when needed). It’s mesmerizing to see and hear; how it intertwines with the rest of nature as you’ve shown in these beautiful photos.
It’s raining here this morning! I almost didn’t recognize it…it’s been so long. Your photos are fabulous and I’d love to see that place in person. It looks so relaxing–with and without rain! Have a great 3-day weekend, my friend. xoxo
Hmm, we all have those moments. Thank heaven the rain does end sooner or later.
Yes, it rained almost the whole weekend of our get away, but it was nice to listen to both the rain and the river…and the rain was much needed there.
Wish you could send some of that liquid silver to the parched Midwest, Suzi!
It was needed there as well.
Wow. Great before and after shots!
I love the river!
“Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby. ~Langston Hughes”
Love that, Suzi! I’m one of those odd people who relishes the rain and doesn’t mind getting caught and wet in it.
AWESOME photos! The colors and textures of the trees, water, and river rocks are just beautiful.
That last one is BEYOND faaaaaaabulous!
*two thumbs way up*
Much thanks for sharing, my friend….X
It is beautiful prose!
I only took 462 pics over the weekend…think I might have missed anything?!

I’m sure your photographs are splendid…I just happened to have great subjects to work with this time.
Beautiful shots! It appears you got a wee bit of rain there, and you’re not even in Isaac’s path. Fortunately.
Just a wee bit, and yes, we were fortunate to be out of Isaac’s path.
That last shot is breathtaking.
It’s a beautiful spot, a family property in Nelson on the Tye River…you guys should join us some weekend.
Love the water and the before and after shots. As usual, your pictures are beautiful
The river is always beautiful to photograph!
That’s pretty remarkable!
Yes, it was a lot of rain in a short period but I can’t complain…it was no where near the amount of hurricanes.
The photos are beautiful! Nature is magnificent, even when its power is frightening.
Nature is exquisite.
It is so amazing what happens when we contemplate. Thanks for sharing such beauty.
It was a relaxing weekend which was what I needed…
You’ve got some fabulous photos in this post. I particularly like third from the top.
It’s been pelting with rain here too, but that’s to be expected in the UK. I just wish it would wait til summer is over. (What summer?)

Ah yes, love listening to the rain and walking in it if it’s down pelting me!

A good drenching after a drought is such a relief.
Beautiful pictures! I SO VERY MUCH wish it would rain here in Los Angeles!
Here’s hoping you get a little bit!
Great pics! This guy name Issac got close to us and poured the water on us, too.
So glad Isaac didn’t get any closer than he did here!
What striking pictures – I could feel the refreshment as I viewed the comparisons. Thanks for sharing what you captured!
You glad it refreshed you, Barb.
what an amazing difference rain makes to the landscape. You’ve captured that so beautifully here.
It can make a world of difference.
Singing rain is so comforting.
Yes, it is!
Great capture of the comparison, Suzi. Rain is so essential to our planet . . . wish we could distribute it where its most needed.
We absolutely need the rain…and well, the way we feel when we dance in it is a bonus!
These pictures make me so nostalgic for a good thunderstorm. The desert rarely experiences a waterfall of rain. Again, magnificent pics.
I like thunderstorms, too. Took me a long time to appreciate them.
That added a good bit of water!
It sure did!
OMG! Heaven captured in your photographs and, if I close my eyes, I can even hear it. *sigh* Thank you for sharing…
It is a little slice of heaven there at the river!
